Flatfoot

Flat feet refer to the collapse of the inner arch of the foot. The two most common causes include congenital laxity of intrinsic ligament inside the foot and weakness of calf muscles, resulting in the collapse of foot arch under the body weight. Patients with flat feet do not necessarily have symptoms. They usually find that the inside of the sole is abraded, and the inside of the foot easily feels tired.

Our physiotherapists first assess through movement analysis and functional testing. Manual therapy and acupuncture are used to relax tight calf muscle, along with lower limb strengthening exercises to support the foot arch.
