Plantar Fasciitis

Patients suffering from plantar fasciitis usually feel pain in the soles of their feet during the first step after waking up and standing for a long time. Overweight people, long-distance runners, ballet dancers, flat-foot patients, teachers and other people whose daily activities put great loads on the plantar fascia are more prone to have this problem. The increased tension and pressure cause micro-tears and inflammation of the fascia.

Our physiotherapists find the causes of the problem through movement analysis and functional testing. Manual therapy and acupuncture are used to relax tight calf muscles and relieve pain, along with lower limb strengthening exercises to tackle the problem.
