Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis happens when there is more bone being broken down than the bone synthesized during the aging process. Small pores start to form inside the bone, and the density and strength are reduced. Some small collisions or falls may cause fractures. Aging, lack of exercise, bad habits such as excessive drinking and smoking will affect the speed of resorption and production of bone, resulting in osteoporosis.

Weight training can stimulate bone synthesis, increase bone density and strengthen muscle to protect the bone. Therefore, it can help to prevent osteoporosis and fracture. Our physiotherapists will prescribe appropriate intensity exercise according to your physical condition, so that you can safely carry out the training.
